About the role
The Damage Insurance Sales Broker acts as a trusted advisor to clients. Their role is to analyze client needs, recommend appropriate insurance solutions, and close new business, while actively contributing to the growth of the brokerage’s portfolio.
This position combines advisory expertise, business development, and excellence in customer service. The successful candidate plays a key role in client retention, cross-selling, and strategic prospecting to ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients professionally and proactively, delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Identify personal insurance needs and recommend the most suitable products
- Assess, validate, and adjust existing coverages, including policy changes and renewals
- Promote and sell complementary products (auto, home, recreational vehicles, etc.) to optimize coverage and client satisfaction
- Identify cross-selling and growth opportunities within existing and orphan clients
- Actively solicit and prospect new clients, including those who have previously left the company, to expand the client base
- Negotiate policy terms with various insurance partners to secure the best solutions for clients
- Maintain strong knowledge of insurer products, underwriting guidelines, and procedures
- Adhere to internal policies, processes, and compliance standards
- Contribute to individual and team sales targets
- Develop and maintain business relationships with partners and referral sources to generate new leads
Requirements
- Valid AMF Personal Lines Damage Insurance license
- Brokerage experience (strong asset)
- Bilingualism (asset)
- Knowledge of insurance markets and management tools (asset)
